Create More Better Different has a way to go before being officially self-published. I need to finish writing and editing all the chapters. Then it needs to go to a (super cool!) copy editor for review. At the same time I will engage with an (amazing!) illustrator to create 40+ unique diagrams to accompany it. Then another round of editing. Then the design and layout. Then the conversion to as many ebook formats as possible, the first two being iBook and Kindle.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What’s with the confusing form after the Donate button? It’s really confusing! I didn’t even bother with filling it out.

The Google Docs form after the donate button is so that I have all the information I need to:

Add your name in the book,
Send you email updates,
Know your eBook preferences,
Send you the final eBook.

I know it’s confusing as all hell, but that’s because PayPal won’t let me add fields to the Donate thingy unless I’m I create a business or pro account. That will mean less of your money gets into my pocket. So I’ve created this annoying work-around that you’ll just have to deal with… If it makes it any easier, just skip the PayPal Verification number. I can just cross-reference your name and figure it out. I just want you’re proper name and email!

Why don’t you just use Kickstarter.com? It’s soooooo much easier than this!

Again, you’re right. But Kickstarter isn’t available in Canada. I’m looking into Indiegogo.com (Kickstarter’s uglier, illegitimate second-cousin), and hope to set something up with them soon. That saves me from handling everything manually, and should reach a bigger audience. Check back later if this suits you better.

How do I know if I can trust you to deliver?

You don’t! That’s why it’s called ‘trust’. But seriously, I will not take your money and run. It will go toward the Create More Better Different book, and as long as you have given me a valid email address, you will get a digital copy.

When will the book be finished?
I wish I knew! I am aiming to have a rough draft completed before May 1st. It may take shorter, it may take longer. Your help will make it shorter. :-)

Will you publish a ‘real’ book?
We could get into an interesting philosophical discussion about what is real and what isn’t. But if you mean a physical copy, I’m taking a ‘wait and see’ policy. Digital books are virtually free to publish and distribute. Physical books get more complicated with warehouses, distribution, etc. But if there is a big enough demand, I will not rule it out.
