1000 Free Ideas

I am giving away 1000 Free Ideas. Find out how this works and then ask me a question.

I get paid to come up with ideas and to help other people come up with ideas. I consider myself very fortunate to work in a profession where I can think creatively for a living.

I am giving away 1000 free ideas.

Since 1996, I have been coming up with ideas professionally; ideas for the way things look, sound, move, communicate and connect. I have talked about what I do at conferences. I have taught what I do in workshops. I have mentored at ad agencies and consulted for blue-chip clients. And now I’m working on a book that examines creativity.

Part of that book looks at various brainstorming techniques, including 10 Ideas in 10 Minutes, a personal favourite of mine. I need to put these techniques through their paces by practice and application. This is where you come in: I need your problems. Give me your creative problems and I will give you ideas, jumping off points, starters, and seeds. Some of them will be amazing and some of them will be terrible. But they will all be free.

What’s the catch? I get to publish them. That’s it. Otherwise they’re yours. If you need help coming up with ideas, or expanding ideas you already have, than follow the instructions below and submit them. I will try to answer anything that makes sense, and some things that don’t. And I will publish them all here on my blog. I reserve the right to reject questions of my choosing, and will not answer questions that are a conflict of interest with my current employers.
